How to Make a Super Hero Party Bag with a Cape

Equipment Required for Each Party Bag:

1 x Basic Box - Available as a Printable Download to make your own. Link at the bottom of the page.
Material - 10cm x 14cm (Can be any colour you would like for your cape)
1 x A4 Sheet of Paper for: 1 x Large Star and 1 x Small Star
Scissors
Glue

Instructions:

  1. Make a Basic Box as per instructions on the downloadable template
  2. Using your material, place it longways, place a narrow strip of glue along the very top then fold down 1cm of material.

  3. Turn material over and make a pleat fold, approx. 2.5cm from each end, put glue in each fold to hold in place.

  4. Turn back to reverse side and place a narrow strip of glue along the very top.

  5. Stick cape onto the back of the box.  (The back will have the join where you glued the flap to make the box)
  6. Cut out the Large and Small Stars from paper.  I used a Microsoft word doc and inserted the stars from the Shapes.  Then just filled in a colour and outline to suit my colour scheme, and then copied and pasted for the number of stars I needed for each Bag.  On your word doc you can then add the wording for your large star, for the front of the box and just a single letter for the star for the cape.  I used these bags for a Father's Day party, so my wording was " Have a SUPER Father's Day"  on the large star and a "D" on the smaller star but you could just say "Have a SUPER Birthday" as an example.  Then just print and cut out the stars.                                        Click to Printable Star Template

  7. Glue the Large Star to the middle of the front of your party box and the Small Star on the lower middle of the cape.
  8. Your Super Hero Party Bag is now ready to fill with goodies for your guests.
